Officially, only genuine Eaton Type BR circuit breakers are approved, tested, and UL-listed to interchange or fit inside an Eaton BR load center. While certain third-party manufacturers produce "classified" replacement breaker lines (such as Eaton's own CL series or specific engineered alternatives) that carry legal UL listings for legacy panels, mixing standard unapproved brands into an Eaton BR panel violates electrical codes, compromises the physical bus bar connection, creates severe arc-fault and fire risks, and voids equipment warranties.
