What banks do not accept Zelle?
While the Zelle peer-to-peer payment network encompasses thousands of participating financial institutions across the United States, several smaller community banks, localized credit unions, and specific digital-first neobanks do not currently offer native Zelle integration within their mobile apps. However, account holders at non-participating institutions can often still use Zelle by downloading the standalone Zelle mobile application and linking an eligible Visa or Mastercard debit card issued by their bank. Nonetheless, certain credit-builder cards, specialized prepaid accounts, and conservative depository institutions restrict third-party payment app connectivity entirely as part of their internal fraud prevention and risk management policies.
