When pressure washing a house, do not use high-pressure narrow spray nozzles on siding, do not spray upward into horizontal lap siding joints (which forces water behind walls and causes mold), and do not use harsh chemical bleaches that destroy landscaping. Furthermore, do not stand on unstable ladders while operating a high-pressure wand, do not pressure wash near exposed electrical wiring or open windows, and never let cleaning detergents dry onto the siding.
