You should never use Dawn dish soap or standard household dishwashing liquids to wash your house siding, whether by hand or through a pressure washer. Household dish soaps create excessive, thick suds that are very difficult to rinse off completely, leaving behind a sticky film that rapidly attracts dirt, dust, and pollen. Furthermore, dish soaps can strip protective exterior finishes, degrade caulking seals, and harm surrounding landscaping plants and grass when runoff occurs.
