Commercial international flight operations have officially transitioned away from the historic Pochentong site, as commercial passenger services relocated to the newly constructed Techo International Airport. The modern aviation hub serves as the primary international gateway for the capital region. Meanwhile, the older Phnom Penh International Airport facility has been repurposed to handle domestic routes, private aviation, and military airbase operations rather than major commercial traffic.
