When a toilet is full of solid waste and standing wastewater, do not attempt to flush repeatedly, as this will cause the bowl to overflow onto your bathroom floor. Instead, put on heavy-duty rubber gloves and eye protection. Take a heavy-duty flange plunger (bell plunger with an extended flap), insert it gently into the bowl to form a tight, airtight seal over the drain opening, and pump vigorously up and down 10 to 15 times to build pressure and dislodge the mass through the trapway.
