To reset an LG electric dryer, you need to perform a full power reset to clear error codes like d80, d90, d95, tE, LE, and control lock issues. Start by pressing the Power button to turn the dryer off, then unplug the dryer from its 240-volt outlet or turn off the double 30-amp circuit breaker in your main electrical panel that supplies the dryer. This is important because electric dryers run on 240 volts and a half-tripped breaker can cause no-heat issues that look like a control problem. Leave the dryer unplugged or breaker off for at least 5 to 10 minutes to allow the main control board capacitors to fully discharge and reset its memory. While unplugged, press and hold the Start/Pause button for 5 seconds to drain any residual electricity. After waiting, plug the dryer back in or turn the breaker back on firmly, press Power, select Time Dry on high heat for 10 minutes with no clothes inside, and press Start to test if it heats and tumbles properly. You can also clear Control Lock by pressing and holding the Control Lock or Child Lock button for 3 seconds. If the error code returns immediately, the problem is not electronic but mechanical, such as a blocked vent, blown thermal fuse, or failed heating element, which a reset will not fix and will require cleaning or part replacement.
