Installing a Lutron Maestro electronic switch or dimmer requires turning off power at the main electrical breaker and verifying dead circuits with a voltage tester. Remove the wall plate, unscrew the old switch, and pull it out of the box. Connect the green ground wire to the bare copper ground bundle. Connect the black line wire from the electrical panel to one of the Maestro's black leads, and attach the load wire leading to the light fixture to the remaining black lead.
