To sync your Honeywell thermostat to your phone, you first need to identify which Honeywell family you own because Honeywell uses several different apps. Most newer models like the T5, T6, T9, T10, Home RTH9585WF, and Lyric series use the Honeywell Home app or Resideo app, which is the new name for the same app. Start by downloading the Honeywell Home app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and create a free account. On the thermostat itself, enable Wi-Fi by going to Menu > Wi-Fi Setup or by holding the menu button until you see wireless setup. The thermostat will display a network name or prompt you to connect. In the app, tap Add Device or the plus icon, select Thermostat, and follow the on-screen steps to connect the thermostat to your home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. You will need your Wi-Fi password and the thermostat may display a QR code or ask you to connect to its temporary network. Once connected, the app will show your thermostat and allow you to control temperature, schedules, and modes remotely. Keep your phone on the same 2.4 GHz network during setup for best results.
