Elon Musk does not personally manufacture semiconductors, but he is deeply involved in the design and sourcing of custom chips for his companies. Musk has also been a major player in the global semiconductor market, navigating supply chain shortages and engineering advanced hardware solutions across his companies, particularly for Tesla’s AI and Neuralink’s brain-computer interfaces, where high-performance, custom-designed silicon is essential for technical performance.
