Thad Matta stepped down from his position as the head men's basketball coach at Butler University. After concluding another season on the sidelines, he announced his retirement from active coaching. However, rather than leaving the university entirely, he transitioned into an administrative role, accepting a position to remain with the institution as a Special Assistant to the President and Athletic Director to support the long-term growth and stability of the athletic department.
