Yes, Stephen Curry did successfully graduate from Davidson College, fulfilling a promise he made to his family and coaching staff long after entering the National Basketball Association. Following his sensational junior season in 2009, Curry made the decision to forgo his final year of athletic eligibility to enter the NBA draft, where he was selected seventh overall by the Golden State Warriors. Although he went on to achieve unprecedented professional success—securing multiple MVP awards and four NBA championships—he promised his mother and former coach Bob McKillop that he would eventually complete his degree requirements. True to his word, he quietly re-enrolled in coursework and finished his final graduation requirements, officially earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in May 2022. Davidson College celebrated the milestone by hosting a special graduation ceremony, retiring his iconic number 30 jersey, and inducting him into the Davidson Athletics Hall of Fame.
