In North America, holding a fully comprehensive insurance policy on your own personal car does not permit you to drive your mother's car under your own policy, because auto insurance follows the vehicle rather than the driver. To drive your mother's car legally and with proper insurance coverage, her vehicle must be insured, and you should ideally be listed on her policy as an occasional or secondary driver. In contrast, if you reside in certain international regions like the UK where legacy "driving other cars" extensions exist, it would still only cover you for third-party liability on her car, not comprehensive damage.
