An air purifier cannot cool a room because it lacks refrigeration coils, compressors, or thermodynamic heat-exchange loops required to lower ambient air temperatures. An air purifier's sole engineering purpose is to draw in room air using an internal fan, pass it through fine physical filters to remove dust, allergens, and odors, and exhaust clean air back out at room temperature. While some high-velocity tower purifiers create a noticeable breeze that provides a subjective cooling sensation through enhanced air movement on your skin, they do not actually alter or reduce the thermal energy or temperature of the indoor space, meaning you still require an air conditioner for true thermal cooling.
