There are no regular-season or competitive college football games scheduled for today, as the sport operates under a strict seasonal calendar that places games exclusively in the autumn and winter months. In mid-August, collegiate athletic programs across the country are fully immersed in fall training camps, closed scrimmages, and final preparations ahead of the upcoming season. While fans eagerly anticipate the return of college football, live televised games will not officially return to the sports calendar until the formal Week 0 and Week 1 matchups kick off later in the month, signaling the highly anticipated start of a new season.
