No, not all Chicago faucet cartridges are interchangeable, as Chicago Faucets makes many different cartridge types for different faucet models, though some within same series are interchangeable. Chicago Faucet Company, founded in 1901 in Des Plaines, Illinois, makes commercial faucets with various cartridge types including Quaturn, Eccentric, and ceramic disc cartridges. Quaturn cartridges, Chicago Faucets signature, are used in many models like 305, 540, 420, and are interchangeable within Quaturn line, meaning a Quaturn cartridge from one 305 faucet will fit another 305 or 540 that uses Quaturn. However, Quaturn is not interchangeable with Eccentric or ceramic disc cartridges used in newer models. Eccentric cartridges are used in different series and are not interchangeable with Quaturn. Ceramic disc cartridges are used in newer Chicago Faucets like HyTronic and are not interchangeable with Quaturn. Also, hot and cold cartridges may be different, left and right. To ensure interchangeability, check model number on faucet, usually on handle or base, and match with Chicago Faucets parts catalog at chicagofaucets.com, which lists compatible cartridges. Using wrong cartridge can cause leaks or damage. So some Chicago faucet cartridges within same family like Quaturn are interchangeable, but not across different types like Quaturn vs Eccentric vs ceramic. Always check model and catalog.
