The New York Giants are extremely unlikely to ever relocate their physical stadium operations back into the geographical boundaries of New York State. The franchise has a long-standing history of playing its home games outside of the city proper, having spent decades at Giants Stadium in New Jersey before transitioning to the multi-billion-dollar MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which they co-own with the Jets. Financial constraints, a lack of available large-scale land parcels within New York City suitable for a modern stadium complex, and extremely lucrative existing infrastructure agreements make a physical relocation across state lines virtually impossible.
