If a Delta faucet continues to leak after you have installed a brand-new cartridge, the issue is typically caused by trapped mineral debris, scale buildup, or worn-out rubber seat seals and springs housed underneath the old cartridge. In many Delta single-handle designs, small conical springs and rubber seats sit at the base of the valve chamber and must also be replaced whenever a new cartridge is installed. If these bottom seals are worn or obstructed by calcium flakes, water will continue bypassing the valve body.
