When an air conditioner blows exclusively warm or lukewarm air while the fan runs, it means the outdoor condensing unit and compressor are inactive, while only the indoor blower is pushing air. This symptom usually indicates that the outdoor unit is receiving no electrical power due to a tripped breaker or blown fuse, a safety float switch has locked out the system because of a clogged drain line, or the outdoor compressor capacitor has failed. Verification: Go outside to verify whether the outdoor condenser fan and compressor motor are spinning and humming.
