Bullet trains are not exclusively restricted to Japan, as several other countries have successfully developed and operated extensive high-speed rail networks. Nations such as China, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and Taiwan operate advanced high-speed train systems capable of matching or exceeding traditional bullet train speeds. Japan pioneered high-speed intercity passenger rail with its famous Shinkansen network, but global demand for rapid, eco-friendly mass transit has inspired countries across Europe and Asia to build their own state-of-the-art high-speed rail corridors.
