King Aegon IV, universally remembered throughout Westerosi history as "Aegon the Unworthy," is widely considered the worst monarch of that name to ever sit upon the Iron Throne. His reign was characterized by rampant corruption, extreme self-indulgence, economic extravagance, and cruel treatment of his family. His most catastrophic act occurred on his deathbed when he legitimized all of his bastards, sparking decades of bloody civil conflicts known as the Blackfyre Rebellions.
