The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), which is the state-owned national oil entity of the Government of Kuwait. Under this state-controlled corporate hierarchy, KOC manages all upstream exploration, drilling, and crude oil production operations across the country on behalf of the state.
