Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) is jointly owned through a 50-50 partnership between Mubadala Investment Company of Abu Dhabi and Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD). In 2014, EMAL successfully merged with Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL) to officially form Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), which operates as the primary industrial corporate entity managing their combined aluminum production assets. This equal joint venture pools the industrial expertise and sovereign backing of both emirates, establishing the company as one of the largest premium aluminum producers globally. Corporate governance and strategic oversight are managed collaboratively through a board appointed by both parent sovereign investment organizations.
