Bryant AC units are made by Bryant Heating and Cooling Systems, which is owned by Carrier Global Corporation, one of the largest HVAC manufacturers in the world. Bryant is essentially Carrier's sister brand and mid-tier line, sharing many of the same components, technologies, and manufacturing facilities as Carrier but positioned at a slightly lower price point. Carrier was founded by Willis Carrier, inventor of modern air conditioning, and acquired Bryant in 1955. Today, Bryant AC units are manufactured in Carrier's factories across the United States, including major plants in Indianapolis, Indiana, Collierville, Tennessee, and other locations, as well as in Mexico for some components. Bryant units use the same scroll compressors, coils, and many internal parts as Carrier, with differences primarily in branding, model names, and some features. For example, Carrier Infinity is equivalent to Bryant Evolution, Carrier Performance is equivalent to Bryant Preferred, and Carrier Comfort is equivalent to Bryant Legacy. Bryant is distributed through Bryant Factory Authorized Dealers. So when you buy a Bryant AC, you are buying a unit made by Carrier Global Corporation in Carrier factories with Carrier engineering and quality control, offering Carrier-based technology at a slightly more affordable price.
