The Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) is Fatema AlAlawi. Her official appointment to the top executive role marked a historic milestone for the Kingdom's financial sector, making her the first female Chief Executive Officer in the history of Bahrain Islamic Bank as well as the first woman to lead an Islamic banking institution in the country. Prior to stepping into the permanent CEO position, she successfully served as the Acting CEO and previously drove the bank's retail operations and wide-ranging digital transformation strategies as the Chief Retail Banking Officer. Under her leadership, the institution continues to focus heavily on expanding cutting-edge digital financial solutions, adopting modern technological infrastructure, and reinforcing sustainable banking growth.
