Handheld LiftMaster remote controls do not feature a programming "learn button." Instead, the programming Learn button is located directly on the electronic control panel of the main garage door opener motor housing (underneath the plastic light lens cover on ceiling units or on the side control panel of wall-mount jackshaft models). The handheld remote is synced to the motor's receiver by pressing the motor's Learn button. Verification: Press the motor's learn button briefly and verify that the adjacent LED indicator light illuminates to confirm programming mode is active.
