The Boston University Terriers men's basketball program last appeared in the official NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2011. Playing out of the Patriot League, the Terriers have come close in subsequent seasons and even won the conference tournament championship in 2020 before the postseason tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, continually striving to capture another automatic bid to March Madness.
