JAKKS Pacific officially ceased its long-running production and manufacturing of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) action figures and roleplay merchandise at the end of 2009. This milestone concluded a historic, highly successful multi-year partnership that began in the late 1990s (originally under World Wrestling Federation licensing), after which Mattel acquired the exclusive master toy license to produce official WWE action figures starting in 2010.
