Husky Stadium has never experienced a structural collapse of its main grandstands. However, during the significant, multi-million dollar stadium renovation and modernization project that commenced in twenty-eleven and reached completion in twenty-thirteen, the existing lower bowl structure was carefully demolished and completely rebuilt to modernize the facility's sightlines, increase seating efficiency, and enhance acoustic performance. This highly planned construction process resulted in the dramatic transformation of the iconic stadium into the world-class facility that exists for the fans today.
