Varsity student-athletes make up approximately 20 to 21 percent of the undergraduate student body at Dartmouth College. Because Dartmouth maintains a compact undergraduate population while fielding a comprehensive portfolio of Division I varsity athletic teams, athletes represent a notably visible and robust segment of the campus community. Furthermore, when incorporating club sports, intramurals, and general fitness activities, over 75 percent of all undergraduates actively participate in some form of structured physical or athletic pursuit during their academic journey.
