The Comstock Lode was primarily celebrated for its extraordinarily rich and complex deposits of native gold and silver ores. While both precious metals occurred in immense quantities, silver ores dominated the extraction volume in terms of sheer weight and commercial value, accompanied by complex associated minerals such as argentite, electrum, and various sulfide minerals embedded within quartz gangue.
