The statutory protection schemes administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation explicitly exclude several categories of financial assets and risk-bearing instruments. Uninsured products include all foreign currency denominated bank deposits, dual-currency investment structures, structured notes, commercial paper, and general investment products such as stocks, bonds, and unit trusts. Furthermore, deposits placed with financial institutions that do not hold active membership status under the official national scheme are entirely outside the scope of statutory compensation.
