India's heaviest and largest freight trains are operated by Indian Railways on specialized heavy-haul routes, prominently featuring mega-freight formations known locally as Super Vasuki or long-haul Anaconda trains. These massive formations stretch over two to three kilometers in length, coupled with multiple powerful electric locomotives to haul thousands of tonnes of coal, minerals, and industrial freight across dedicated freight corridors.
