Any formal process of setting up, positioning, connecting, or putting equipment, software, or structural fixtures into working order is called an installation. Additionally, in the contemporary art world, a large-scale multimedia exhibit or immersive room-sized conceptual art display created for a specific gallery space is also formally referred to as an art installation.
