A pack out is a term with multiple meanings depending on industry. In tool storage, a packout, often written Packout or Pack Out, refers to a modular, interlocking, stackable storage system for tools and hardware, most famously Milwaukee Packout, but also DeWalt ToughSystem, Husky Build-Out, and others, where boxes lock together for transport. In restoration and moving, a pack out is the process of packing and removing contents from a home or business after fire, flood, or for renovation, inventorying items, moving them to storage or cleaning facility, then packing them back in after restoration, called pack back. In outdoor and camping slang, pack out means to carry out all trash and gear you brought in, leaving no trace. In construction, pack out can refer to filling gaps. In slang, it can mean leaving or moving out. Most commonly today, when people search pack out, they refer to modular tool box systems that stack and lock, allowing professionals to organize tools, roll them as one tower, and separate boxes at jobsite for efficiency.
