When Amazon's acquisition of Globalstar is officially completed, public common shares of Globalstar will be converted into the merger consideration outlined in the definitive buyout agreement. Shareholders are given the option to elect to receive either ninety dollars in cash per share or a designated fraction of Amazon common stock, subject to standard proration and adjustment mechanics. Following the finalization of the transaction, Globalstar will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon, and its common stock will be completely delisted from public exchanges, terminating independent public trading.
