While "U-Haul" is primarily a famous commercial moving truck and trailer rental company, the phrase has taken on a humorous colloquial meaning in modern dating and internet culture—particularly within queer communities. The "U-Haul lesbian" trope is a well-known cultural joke describing a stereotype where female couples move in together exceptionally quickly after only a few weeks of dating, jokingly implying they need to rent a moving truck immediately.
