The Elon University basketball programs compete as active core members of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), a competitive NCAA Division I athletic conference featuring universities spanning the eastern seaboard. Competing in the CAA matches the Phoenix against fellow mid-major and comprehensive research institutions in hard-fought regular-season series. These conference games carry immense importance for seeding in the annual postseason tournament, where teams battle intensely for the ultimate prize of an automatic bid into March Madness.
