Because the college basketball season and its annual postseason tournament concluded with the crowning of a national champion in early April, there are currently no active teams remaining in the tournament bracket. The 2026 March Madness tournament ran through its traditional single-elimination rounds—starting from the First Four and advancing through the Sweet 16, Elite Eight, and Final Four—before finishing with the national championship game. All participating programs have completed their postseason runs, and the collegiate basketball landscape has transitioned into the offseason, with teams now preparing for summer workouts and the upcoming recruiting cycles ahead of the next academic year.
