While concrete patios are durable, they come with several downsides. Over time, concrete is prone to cracking due to ground settling, freeze-thaw cycles, and extreme temperature fluctuations. They can also absorb stains easily from oil, leaves, and food, become extremely hot under direct summer sunlight, and offer a sterile or industrial aesthetic unless stamped, stained, or professionally landscaped with surrounding greenery.
