The Abbott i-STAT point-of-care handheld blood analysis system utilizes a diverse menu of single-use disposable cartridges tailored for rapid clinical diagnostics. Commonly available cartridge types include blood gas panels measuring pH, PCO2, PO2, and total carbon dioxide; chemistry and electrolyte panels evaluating sodium, potassium, chloride, glucose, urea nitrogen, and creatinine; and specialized cardiac or coagulation panels such as cardiac troponin, international normalized ratio, and activated clotting time.
