While Mitsubishi electric mini-splits are widely recognized as industry leaders in reliability and performance, they can still experience a few common issues over time. One frequent problem is inadequate airflow or reduced heating and cooling capacity caused by neglected, dust-clogged air filters or dirty indoor blower wheels. Another issue involves blocked or leaking condensate drainage lines, which can overflow and cause water damage down the interior wall if the drain tube gets pinched or clogged with algae. Electrical communication errors between the indoor air handler and the outdoor inverter condenser unit can also occur due to power surges, loose control wiring, or weather exposure. Finally, low refrigerant charges stemming from flare-fitting leaks will cause the system to struggle with maintaining set temperatures.
