Many things might be squeaky, especially objects involving friction, rubber, or small moving parts. Common squeaky things include doors with rusty hinges, floorboards that creak and squeak when walked on, stairs, bed springs that squeak when you move, office chairs with squeaky wheels, sneakers or rubber shoes squeaking on polished floors like basketball courts, car brakes that squeak when dusty or worn, car belts that squeak, shopping carts with squeaky wheels, and bicycle chains that squeak when dry. Animals like mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, and birds are squeaky when they vocalize. Toys like squeaky dog toys, baby squeaky shoes, rubber ducks, and balloons that squeak when air is released are intentionally squeaky. Other squeaky items include balloons, new leather shoes, vinyl raincoats that squeak when rubbed, markers on whiteboard, chalk on blackboard, and styrofoam rubbing. Body related squeaky things include squeaky voices, squeaky laughs, and joints that squeak rarely. In general, anything with rubber against smooth surface, dry metal joints needing oil, or small animal will be squeaky.
