Plastpro doors are made of fiberglass composite materials with a fully composite construction that resists rot and moisture, unlike traditional wood frame doors. Plastpro fiberglass entry doors are constructed with three main components. First, the door skins are made of fiberglass reinforced plastic, FRP, molded from real wood doors to capture authentic wood grain texture, available in smooth or wood grain finishes. Second, the stiles and rails, which are the internal frame around the perimeter of the door, are made of Plastpro's proprietary composite material called PF Frame, which is a rot-proof composite made from recycled materials and fiberglass, not wood, making it waterproof and preventing swelling and rot at bottom of door where most doors fail. Third, the core is filled with high-density polyurethane foam insulation injected under high pressure, providing excellent energy efficiency with R-values up to 6 times higher than wood doors and sound insulation. Plastpro also uses HydroShield technology, which is a water-resistant composite bottom rail that prevents moisture wicking. The door is assembled with adhesives and then finished with paint or stain. Hardware reinforcements are composite as well. So Plastpro doors are made of fiberglass skins, composite PF frame stiles and rails, and polyurethane foam core, making them 100 percent rot-proof, unlike competitors that use wood frames, and are designed for longevity in harsh climates.
