Historical passenger lists and genealogical records documenting the historic 1620 voyage of the Mayflower do not record any individual bearing the surname Latham among the Pilgrim settlers. While subsequent generations of Lathams established deep roots in New England during the early colonial settlement period, the original passenger manifest contained no such family name.
