My Karndean floor is lifting, what can I do to fix it? Karndean floor lifting usually due to moisture under floor, subfloor not flat, adhesive failure, or water damage, with fix depending on cause, for small lifting you can re-glue with Karndean approved adhesive after cleaning subfloor and ensuring dry, for large lifting you need professional to remove planks, fix subfloor moisture issue, and re-install, with warranty check if within 20 years. If Karndean glue-down is lifting, first identify cause: check for moisture with moisture meter, if moisture present need to fix leak and dry subfloor. For small area lifting, you can carefully lift plank, scrape old adhesive, clean subfloor, apply Karndean approved pressure-sensitive adhesive, press plank with roller and weight for 24 hours. For click-lock Karndean Korlok lifting, may need to disassemble and re-lay with flat subfloor. If widespread lifting due to subfloor prep failure, need professional flooring installer to remove all, level subfloor, and re-install, costing 3 to 5 dollars per square foot. Contact Karndean dealer and installer for warranty claim if installed by approved installer and within warranty, with Karndean warranty covering manufacturing defects but not moisture or poor subfloor prep. So fix lifting by re-gluing small areas or professional re-install for large, fixing moisture source first.
