The original American Water Heater Company is still fully active in the plumbing industry, having been acquired and completely integrated into the A.O. Smith Corporation, one of the largest water heating manufacturers in the world. Under A.O. Smith's corporate umbrella, the manufacturing facilities, engineering teams, and product lines continue to produce millions of residential and commercial water heaters distributed across North America under various prominent brand names and wholesale channels.
