Resin injection (or polyurethane foam expansion) is an excellent, less invasive alternative to traditional concrete underpinning for minor to moderate settlement issues, as it quickly stabilizes soil and lifts concrete slabs. However, for severe structural subsidence, deep foundation failures, or massive load-bearing walls, traditional concrete or steel pier underpinning remains the superior, more permanent engineering solution.
