No, the Maytag brand is definitely not discontinued. While Maytag Corporation was officially acquired by the Whirlpool Corporation in 2006, the Maytag brand remains one of the most prominent, active, and trusted names in the home appliance manufacturing industry today. Whirlpool continues to manufacture, market, and innovate a massive lineup of Maytag residential laundry appliances, refrigerators, dishwashers, and cooking ranges across North America, backed by widespread parts distribution and customer support.
