Jin Air, Air Busan, and Air Seoul have formally signed a merger agreement under a corporate consolidation plan stemming from the broader integration of Korean Air and Asiana Airlines. Under this agreement, Jin Air will serve as the surviving corporate entity absorbing both Air Busan and Air Seoul to create South Korea's largest low-cost carrier by fleet size, with the integrated airline slated for a unified launch.
